Ticket sales continue at
a satisfactory level with bookings now coming in from Scottish Clubs who are obviously
arranging a day or two at Northfield with Saturday 7th August, the final day of
the singles, a great favourite. Has your Club arranged anything? In order
to control the numbers attending the opening ceremony, which has free admission
and promises to be a terrific spectacle, tickets are being issued on a first come,
first served basis. Therefore if you intend being there please apply for your
admission ticket(s) as soon as you can to avoid disappointment. Those who have
already purchased a fortnightly ticket need not apply as their fortnightly ticket
will gain them entry to the complex. Following on the last magazine article
seeking help from volunteers, these are starting to come forward from as far away
as England and are being recorded and listed for the moment. Help will be required
for end rink marking, general stewarding, and manning ticket offices etc. Applications
are beginning to come in for the trade stands that are available in the complex
and full details of these are available here.
